Women generally bring an offering to the sanctuary when they visit for the 1st time. A wind chime, a plant, prayer, a song, or a poem. We’ll share these at our opening ceremony.

Enjoy beautiful trails through the forest, or a walk around the pond, and the sanctuary is fenced in! 48 out of 65 acres. This is truly a sanctuary. You'll have time to listen to birdsong, or to…. shed a tear, or journal... As you feel your nervous system recalibrate, and take a deep breath.  This is healing land.

Herbal tea and herbal bug spray are plentiful here. Our outhouse is clean, pretty and new!

Bring along: Lunch, drinks, snacks in your cooler. Towel, blanket, closed-toe shoes, long sleeves and pants in case needed for our forest walk. And please leave animals at home. We have plenty of non-toxic herbal bug spray for you.  And we've installed a new outhouse.

We’ll email registered women directions to the sanctuary and Kim’s cell phone number the Friday prior.

Registered mothers may bring daughters 10-17 for free! Just let us know ahead of time.

A little about me, your herbal host Kim

I stand for conservation of the wild places, wildlife and endangered plants that live on them. And I love showing a woman how much she needs time in these places too!

I have walked many healing spirals. And I know what it's like to feel exhausted and overwhelmed. It was during the times I felt I could not go on that the plants held me. They deeply nourished me. And helped bring me resilience and strength to stay healthy and vibrant and joy-filled.  This is what I want to guide you to. WE need to take care of ourselves!  You'll be SO glad you are here with us on this beautiful autumn Sunday!

Relax, laugh and have fun while immersing yourself with herbal wisdom, nourishment and sister support.

"This spring I was very fortunate to participate in Kim's year-long Apothecary Internship Program.  WOW - this program far exceeds my expectations!!  With Kim's guidance & extensive knowledge, I'm learning about plants and the medicine they provide.  We are learning by working, respecting and honoring the entire plant & it's energy, we can heal our  physical bodies as well as our mind and spirit.  This journey into the plant world is truly a transformational one on a very personal level,  Thank you Kim for creating this opportunity!! Enjoy this warm summer day!! Blessings, Nora, Bethlehem, New Hampshire

We pay our employees a living wage. And All profits support The Lakota Botanical & Wildlife Sanctuary, and The Burdock Fund.

We are honored to support you in your journey to physical, emotional and spiritual health. Thank you for spreading the word.
