2020 Herbal Summer Program

Product Description

**This class will be offered again in the future once all of the craziness from COVID-19 settles and restrictions allow it.

2020 Herbal Summer Program

5 Saturdays May - September

Join Kim for her 2020 Herbal Summer Program! She'll teach you to identify and work closely with 10 plants - and introduce you to many others. Each month we'll study two plants in depth that you'll learn to ethically harvest or grow. You'll learn how to process herbs into traditional foods and plant medicines.

In our Herbal Program, you'll be empowered and steeped in our herbal traditions of plant healing. While there are many online classes available these days, there's something special that happens during an in-person live herbal program that is fulfilling in a way that is comfortable and empowering.

People often leave Kim's classes saying "Wow I can really do this myself."

Our Saturdays are packed full yet you'll have time for Plant Meditation, Rest, Art, or Journaling. You can look forward to the following with Kim:

  • In our Opening and Closing Circles, we'll share the month's experiences with each of the plants. We'll set our intentions for the day and the month ahead with incorporating the plants. Our days will be full of information, wisdom, and sharing as well as the science and spirit of plant medicine.
  • Cooking with nourishing spices and medicinal mushrooms.
  • Identification and botany of our plants. Ethical harvesting and proper dying and storage techniques.
  • Herbal Beauty Inside and Out. Hair rinses, Skin-care and more.
  • You'll learn how to make and stock your nourishing herbal kitchen with Infused Honeys and Vinegar's, Fire Cider, Elderberry Syrups & Fermented foods.
  • You'll learn how to treat simple complaints such as basic injuries, allergies, fever, rashes, colds, digestive, skin or sleep issues with herbal medicine. We'll discuss herbs for children and animals and how to use herbal medicines with them. And how to get them to take them!
  • Learn how to make your own salves, lip balms, and infused oils in our Hands-on workshop.
  • Trail walks around our protected 65 acre Botanical & Forest Sanctuary.

You'll understand the the differences between an allopathic approach and how that differs from our holistic approach - and ways we can combine these.

Understand the deeper nuances of your individual healing journey. We'll delve deeply into exploring the energy that can be beneath dis-ease and emotional blocks. We'll look at illnesses, traumas and emotional states in the context of our body wisdom.

We create a circle of trust, integrity, wisdom and mutual respect together.
