2018 Herbal Learning Internship, Classes & Workshops!


2018 Internship: Interested in the Internship program? Please email us about yourself & your interest in herbalism to Info@littleherbshop.com. Enrollment process requires an interview with Kim. Our 1st Internship circle is a potluck lunch held on Wednesday, January 10th from 12-2pm at The Little Herb Shoppe. Please RSVP. There is additional training for Work-Exchange Participants. It is from this pool of work exchange herbalists that may work at the apothecary in the future. Rolling participation possible.

Woofers: (Workers on organic farms) or volunteers are welcome during the 2018 season at the Botanical Sanctuary in Sheffield, VT. We can teach you about caring for the plants, herbalism, home-steading, off-grid living, and so much more. Your help includes anything from creating trails in our budding & extensive trail system, maintaining fences around the sanctuary land & animals, helping with animals, planting seeds & labeling plants, creating herbal gardens (we use no-till methods), harvesting & processing herbs, wild-crafting, helping us during our events, helping out with the animals. Learn about solar energy too!

 Email us a resume &/or detailed cover letter about why you would like to participate, your experience, availability & what you can offer & the area of study or your interest. Green blessing.

The Lakota Botanical Sanctuary Celebration & Commemoration!!

Sacred ceremony committing our devotion to protecting the sanctuary land we steward.

Classes, celebration, song, ceremony, pot-luck, swimming, classes for adults & kids, plant & tree walks and more! Details to be announced as we plan. We take our lead from the land. If you are already a plant person, you honor this way. If you are not, please learn with us. Classes, schedules change as we respect Mother's nature.

 The Little Herb Shoppe brings you Dale Clough of Keep It Sharp visits us monthly on Saturday (dates TBA) or please call the shop as we don't always get to update our info in a timely manner, especially during growing season.

A Woman's Self-Care Herbal - Classes/workshops & More 2018

 Thank you for your patience with this program. We have all been going through epic transformations on an individual level mirrored by the energies we see around our world. Many of you are feeling this energy and would like a place to ground, plant roots from which to practice & assume the real you....This world needs the real YOU!

We are also creating our Sanctuary for you, for the land, for this work. We live at the Sanctuary, and are off-grid so that is also taking much longer, is much more money and much more work than we could have ever imagined.  Please connect with us for these upcoming program on delay until next spring. In the meantime, we can still come together for some preliminary work. While we offer other more practical classes above, if you find yourself here & reading this, trust that you are ready to go deeper.

Together, we'll spend time in the spring & summer & autumn learning about the herbs. And how they can assist you on your path towards greater self care &self love?  We invite you to accompany us on this beautiful journey. In our summer series, we'll meet many plants & experience how they can help us improve our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health. This course will feature many hands on classes, plant walks, cooking, a little ritual, mindful movement, sisterhood, some chocolate (of course) and lots of fun. There are many paths in herbalism and all of them lead to the same place - the astonishing and delightful wisdom of the plants. Join us as we introduce you to ways you can walk some of these paths.

Our time together will culminate in a celebration of the Goddess

 Women's Day Beauty & Herbal Health Retreat September 2018.

 Join us for a full day retreat where we Herbal Goddesses will refresh, replenish and re-inspire ourselves and each other!  Our focus will be on connecting our powerful healing abilities reverently with that of the forest spirit. We'll explore making our own natural beauty products, creating immune boosting food, discovering our herbal allies and much more during our sacred time together. We'll open & close our day with a sacred Herbal Goddess circle.

You will leave feeling replenished, inspired & empowered.

This represents an area of bountiful & natural beauty for the community. The plants growing here are vital to the local ecology and its more important than ever that we teach our children a holistic approach to nature & forest management, and about herbalism, food forests & permaculture.

We'll discover & discuss many aspects of  the healing medicine of local plants & trees indigenous to the North Country.
